What is the basic format and type of questions in BMat?
The BMAT (BioMedical Admissions Test) is a 2-hour pen-and-paper exam with three sections:
- Section 1: Aptitude and Skills - 35 multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes, testing problem-solving, critical thinking, and data analysis.
- Section 2: Scientific Knowledge and Applications - 27 multiple-choice questions in 30 minutes, covering biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics at a level typical for students up to age 16.
- Section 3: Writing Task - One essay in 30 minutes, assessing your ability to develop and communicate a clear argument on a science-related or ethical topic.
Each section evaluates reasoning, scientific understanding, and written communication skills.
