Is the work permit currently available for students who have completed their studies?
Yes, the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) is currently available for students who complete their studies at eligible Canadian institutions.
- Work up to 3 years: The permit duration depends on your program length.
- Eligibility: You must finish a program of at least 8 months at a designated learning institution and maintain full-time student status (except the final semester, which can be part-time).
- Apply within 180 days: You must apply within 180 days of receiving confirmation of program completion, and your study permit must have been valid during this time.
