Is it possible to settle abroad after completing my studies, or do I have to return to India in Germany for a Master's?
Yes, you can stay and work in Germany after completing your Master's degree.
After graduation, you are eligible for an 18-month Job Seeker Visa, which lets you remain in Germany to search for employment related to your field. During this time, you can work in any job to support yourself.
To qualify, you must have a recognized German Master's degree and show proof of sufficient funds for living expenses - typically a blocked account with at least €1,091/month (subject to change).
Once you find a relevant job, you can apply for a long-term residence permit, such as the EU Blue Card, which can lead to permanent residency.
