How Many dMAT Questions Should You Skip to Manage Time Pressure?
One of our students who sat the dMAT skipped 4 to 5 questions per Core subtest, out of 20, to preserve time for pattern recognition and review on the rest. She estimates 3 to 5 full-length mocks would make the time pressure manageable for most students.
Time pressure is one of the most common concerns students raise about the dMAT Core Module, and this real pacing strategy comes from one of our student's own attempt at the exam.

My Advice
Do not treat skipping questions as a failure of preparation, treat it as a deliberate strategy. Go into each Core subtest with a plan for which question types you will skip first if you are running behind, rather than deciding in the moment, and use full-length timed mocks specifically to build comfort with that decision under real time pressure.
