In Ireland, master's programs have two main intakes: September (Autumn) and January (Spring).

- September (Autumn) Intake: Starts early September. Most courses are available, and programs typically last 1 - 2 years.
- January (Spring) Intake: Starts mid to late January. Fewer programs are offered, mainly in high-demand areas like business and computing. Course duration is also 1 - 2 years.

Application deadlines are usually several months before the intake and are subject to change. Not all courses are available in both intakes, so check your preferred program's options.
