It depends. Your husband's eligibility for a work permit extension in Canada will be affected by the type of permit he holds, his job status, and the latest immigration policy changes.

- Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP): As of March 2023, expiring or expired PGWPs may be extended for up to 18 months.
- TR to PR Pathway Applicants: As of October 2025, open work permits for these applicants (and their families) are extended until December 31, 2026.
