Which master's specialisation suits a BTech graduate applying to the UAE with 12 months of work experience and 7.8 CGPA?

The specialisation that fits you best depends more on your BTech branch and what your 12 months of work were actually in than on the fact that AI is currently in demand. A software or CSE background points one way; a mechanical or civil background points somewhere else entirely.

• Caveat: meeting the minimum GPA does not guarantee admission at highly selective, AI-focused universities, so a strong SOP and relevant coursework still matter.

My Advice

Don't pick a specialisation just because it's trending. If your 12 months were in software development or data, AI/ML or Data Science is the natural next step. If they were in networking or infrastructure, lean toward Cybersecurity or Cloud instead. And if your BTech branch is Mechanical, Civil or Electrical, look at Robotics, Smart Infrastructure or Energy specialisations rather than forcing a pivot into pure AI.
