IELTS 6.0 is not the limiting factor here; several UAE master's programs accept it directly. The real decision is which specialisation gives your B.Com the strongest long-term payoff in a market where Finance, Accounting and Analytics are all realistically open to you.

Why Business Analytics Beats Straight Finance for a B.Com Graduate With IELTS 6.0

  • Direct admission fit: Ajman University accepts a business-related bachelor's degree with IELTS 6.0 for its MSc Business Analytics.
  • Long-term employability: combining your B.Com with Excel, SQL, Power BI or Tableau and statistics differentiates you more than a generic business master's.
  • Career direction: Business Analyst, Data/BI Analyst, Analytics Consultant.

What IELTS 6.0 Actually Qualifies You For in the UAE

  • IELTS 6.0 is explicitly accepted for Finance, Business Analytics and MBA programs at multiple UAE universities, including Zayed University and Abu Dhabi University.
  • Some universities offer conditional admission around IELTS 5.5, but with 6.0 already in hand, target programs offering full admission instead.
  • Degree equivalency and attestation for degrees earned outside the UAE is a separate requirement most Indian applicants need to plan for alongside IELTS.

My Advice

Don't jump straight to an MBA right after your B.Com; without prior work experience, a specialised MSc (Business Analytics, Finance or Accounting) gives you a clearer technical skill set than a general management degree at this stage. Save the MBA for later once you have a few years of relevant experience behind you.
