You will need to apply for a Long Stay "D" Study Visa to pursue your Master’s in Ireland. This visa is required for full-time courses lasting more than three months and is essential for your entry into Ireland. Make sure your chosen program is listed on Ireland’s Interim List of Eligible Programmes (ILEP). You’ll need to show proof of at least €10,000 for living expenses, evidence of paying at least €6,000 toward tuition, and private health insurance for your full stay. The application is completed online, followed by a visit to a VFS Global center for document submission and biometrics. After arrival, you must register with the local immigration office to obtain your Irish Residence Permit (Stamp 2), which allows part-time work during your studies. With updated visa requirements from June 2025, it’s important to ensure your documents are accurate and complete. For detailed guidance, please connect with your LeapScholar counsellor.
