Yes, biometrics (fingerprints and photograph) are required for most Canadian study permit applicants from India. After submitting your application and paying the biometrics fee, you’ll receive a Biometric Instruction Letter. You must then schedule an appointment at a Visa Application Centre (VAC) and bring your letter and passport.

A visa interview is usually not required for Canada. Most applications are assessed based on documents, but a visa officer may request an interview in rare cases to clarify details about your study plans or background.
