What is the exact amount of living expenses I need to show for visa applications in Netherlands/Sweden?
For your student visa applications, you must show proof of living expenses for each country:
Sweden:
- SEK 10,656/month (as of 2026)
- SEK 138,672/year
- If you get free housing or food, the requirement can be reduced (SEK 4,736/month for housing, SEK 2,960/month for food).
Netherlands:
- €1,130.77/month (for 2026)
- €13,569.24/year
- You can show funds via a bank statement, deposit to your institution, or a scholarship.
