A four-year Indian bachelor's degree does not by itself decide whether you need the GMAT; UK and Irish schools treat it as an equivalent undergraduate qualification, and the GMAT requirement depends on the specific programme instead.

Total time is 2 hours 15 minutes across 64 questions, plus an optional 10-minute break, and you can choose your own section order.

UK and Irish Programmes, by GMAT Requirement

• Required, GMAT or GRE: London Business School MBA, London Business School Masters in Management, Oxford Said MBA, Warwick Business School MBA, and UCL MBA, several of which also expect 3 or more years of professional experience alongside the score.
• Generally not required: Edinburgh Business School MBA, which lists 60 percent or higher from an Indian degree as equivalent to its normal academic standard, and Trinity College Dublin's business masters, where a GMAT score may only be requested in specific cases.
• Programme-dependent: LSE's EGMIM programme, where candidates who meet the bachelor's requirement generally skip GMAT or GRE while others are strongly encouraged to submit one.

My Advice

Do not confuse a four-year bachelor's with automatic GMAT eligibility for an MBA specifically; most UK MBAs, including Oxford, Warwick, and UCL, expect substantial post-degree work experience regardless of your degree length. If you are a recent graduate with little full-time experience, an MSc or Masters in Management, like LSE's or London Business School's, is usually the more realistic near-term category to target rather than a full MBA.
