Ireland and the UK both offer post-study work visas, but durations and pathways differ.

- Ireland: Up to 24 months for master's graduates on the Stamp 1G visa. You can work full-time in any field without employer sponsorship. This period can lead to longer-term options like the Critical Skills Employment Permit.

- UK: Currently up to 2 years for master's graduates on the Graduate Route visa (3 years for PhD). From 1 Jan 2027, master's and bachelor's graduates will get 18 months. No job offer needed; any skill level is allowed. This visa does not count toward UK permanent residency, so a switch to a Skilled Worker visa is needed for long-term stay.
