What are the post-study plans and PR options after completing MSc in AI in UK/Ireland?
After completing your MSc in Artificial Intelligence, you can stay and work in both the UK and Ireland, with pathways that could eventually lead to permanent residency.
UK:
- Graduate Visa (Post-Study Work Visa): Stay and work for 2 years after your course (18 months for applications from 1 Jan 2027). This visa does not lead directly to permanent residency but lets you switch to a Skilled Worker visa if you secure an eligible job.
- Skilled Worker Visa: Requires a job offer from an approved UK employer. After 5 years on this visa, you may be eligible for permanent residency.
Ireland:
- Third Level Graduate Scheme (Stamp 1G): Stay and work for up to 24 months after graduation. To apply for permanent residency, you must legally reside in Ireland for at least 5 years.
Visa durations and eligibility are subject to change.
