To qualify for a UK Skilled Worker visa after your post-study work visa, you typically need a minimum salary of £41,700/year or the "going rate" for your occupation, whichever is higher (subject to change).

There are exceptions:
- New entrants (under 26, recent graduates, or in professional training): £33,400/year or 70% of the going rate, whichever is higher.
- PhD holders: £37,500/year (or 90% of going rate); for STEM PhDs, £33,400/year (or 80% of going rate).
- Postdoctoral roles in science/higher education: may qualify at 70% of the going rate, but total UK stay is capped at 4 years.
