English language proficiency is required for international students applying to universities in the UK, Canada, and UAE. Most universities accept IELTS Academic, with minimum scores and accepted alternatives varying by country and institution.

- UK: Minimum IELTS Academic scores typically range from 6.0 to 7.5, depending on the program. TOEFL iBT and PTE Academic are also commonly accepted. Scores are usually valid for two years.
- Canada: Universities generally require IELTS 6.0 - 7.0 overall. TOEFL iBT and PTE Academic are also accepted. Some programs may set higher requirements.
- UAE: IELTS Academic scores from 5.0 to 6.5 are typical. TOEFL iBT and EmSAT English may also be accepted, depending on the university.

Some universities may waive the English test requirement if you have studied in English or are from an exempt country. Requirements and accepted tests are subject to change.
