Both TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) and IELTS (International English Language Testing System) are accepted for Master's admissions in the USA.

- TOEFL: Computer-based, 2 hours, scored 0 - 120. Widely accepted and often preferred by U.S. universities.
- IELTS: Paper or computer-based, 2 hours 45 minutes, scored 0 - 9 bands. Also accepted by many U.S. universities.

Given your background in Computer Science and the U.S. preference, TOEFL is usually the better fit. However, always confirm the accepted tests and minimum scores for your target universities, as requirements are subject to change.
