Is your one year internship experience paid or unpaid?
It depends on the internship.
- If the internship is a required part of your degree (integrated placement), it can be either paid or unpaid.
- If the internship is not part of your course, you can work part-time (up to 20 hours/week) during term and full-time during vacations, and this work may also be paid or unpaid, subject to visa rules.
Always check your visa conditions and university policies to confirm what is allowed for your specific situation. If you need help understanding your options, contact your LeapScholar counsellor.
