Is there a post-study work permit available after degree graduation in Canada?
Yes, after graduating from a Designated Learning Institution (DLI) in Canada, you can apply for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP). This permit allows you to work in Canada for up to three years, depending on your program length.
You must apply within 180 days of receiving confirmation of your degree, have maintained full-time student status, and meet other eligibility criteria. The PGWP is a valuable way to gain Canadian work experience after graduation.
If you need help with the application or eligibility details, your LeapScholar counsellor can assist.
