Is it possible to work part-time semester-wise to cover living expenses and reduce immigration financial requirements in Canada?
Yes, you can work part-time in Canada during your studies to help with living expenses, but this does not reduce the financial proof required for your student visa.
- On-campus: No hourly limit during semesters or breaks, if your study permit allows it.
- Off-campus: Up to 24 hours/week during semesters, full-time during scheduled breaks, if your study permit allows it.
- Financial requirement: You must still show proof of sufficient funds for tuition and living costs when applying for your visa - part-time work cannot be counted toward this requirement.
