Yes, you can work in Canada during and after your master's program.

- During studies: With a valid study permit, you can work up to 20 hours/week during academic sessions and full-time during scheduled breaks, as long as you're a full-time student in an eligible program (minimum 8 months) at a Designated Learning Institution (DLI).
- After graduation: You may be eligible for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP), which lets you work for any employer. The PGWP is valid for up to the length of your program (up to 3 years for programs 2 years or longer).

PGWP eligibility and requirements are subject to change. For personalized guidance, connect with your LeapScholar counsellor.

Yes, you may be eligible for a post-study work permit (PGWP) in Canada after completing your master's degree.

- Your program must be at least 8 months long and completed at a Designated Learning Institution (DLI).
- You must have maintained full-time student status, except in your final semester.
- You have up to 180 days after receiving confirmation of program completion to apply.
- For master's degrees completed after 15 Feb 2024, the PGWP may be valid for up to 3 years, even if your program is under 2 years.
- Proof of language proficiency will be required from Nov 2024.

PGWP rules and durations are subject to change. If you need help with your application, connect with your LeapScholar counsellor.
