Is Ireland currently overcrowded for international students compared to the UK for a Master's?

Ireland is currently less crowded for international students than the UK. For 2024/25, Ireland had about 44,535 international students (up 10.2% from last year), while the UK had 685,565 international students (down 6%).

However, Ireland’s international student numbers are growing quickly, which could mean more competition for resources and accommodation soon.

Since you’re planning a Master’s in Ireland for January 2027, keep an eye on these trends.
