Is an English medium degree sufficient or do I need to take an English proficiency test in UK/Canada?

It depends. Whether your English-medium degree from India is accepted instead of an English proficiency test (like IELTS or TOEFL) varies by country and university.

- UK: Most universities require proof of English proficiency. Some may accept an English-medium degree, but often only if verified by Ecctis. This is subject to change.
- Canada: Some universities accept English-medium degrees, but requirements differ widely. Most still ask for standardized test scores.
- USA: Most universities require TOEFL or IELTS. Some may waive this if your degree was taught in English, but this is not guaranteed.

Policies change and are set by each university. For your specific case, discuss your target universities' requirements with your LeapScholar counsellor.
