If the university accepts a lower PTE writing score, will it still cause visa issues?
Yes, it can cause visa issues.
Even if a university accepts a lower PTE Writing score, the Australian Department of Home Affairs requires a minimum overall PTE score of 47, with no component below 36, for a standard student visa (Subclass 500). If your Writing score is below the Department's minimum, your visa application may be rejected - even if the university admits you.
To avoid visa complications, make sure your PTE scores meet or exceed the Department of Home Affairs' minimum requirements in all components.
