If my parents prefer the US, should I give TOEFL again since it is easier than IELTS for a Master's?
It depends. Many U.S. universities accept an IELTS score of 6.5 for graduate admissions, so you may not need to retake TOEFL if your target universities accept your current score.
- IELTS 6.5 is accepted by several U.S. universities for master's programs.
- Top universities or specific programs may require a higher IELTS score (7.0 - 7.5) or may prefer TOEFL.
If your preferred universities require a higher English proficiency score or specifically ask for TOEFL, then retaking TOEFL could help. For personalized guidance on university requirements and next steps, connect with your LeapScholar counsellor.
