If my daughter does not need IELTS for admission, should she still take coaching or can she skip it in Canada?

If your daughter’s Canadian university admission does not require IELTS, she can skip formal IELTS coaching.

However, improving her English skills is still helpful for academic success and daily life in Canada. She may benefit from informal self-study or online courses if she wants to boost her confidence.

Keep in mind: some Canadian study permit (visa) processes, such as the Student Direct Stream (SDS), may still require proof of English proficiency through tests like IELTS. Visa requirements are subject to change.
