If I pay only the deposit amount and show the remaining fees, will there be any visa rejection risk in Canada?

Yes, there is a risk of visa rejection if you show only the deposit payment and not full proof of funds for your studies in Canada.

IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) requires you to demonstrate funds for:
- First-year tuition fees (not just the deposit)
- Living expenses (currently CAD 22,895/year for one person, subject to change)
- Return transportation costs

Acceptable proof includes recent bank statements, a Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC), education loan documents, or a bank draft. IRCC also checks for "fund parking" (large, unexplained deposits), so your financial documents should show stable balances over the past four months.

To reduce rejection risk, show clear evidence you can cover all required expenses for the first year. If you need help preparing your financial documents, connect with your LeapScholar counsellor.
