If I go to the USA for my master's, can I stay there after completing my studies or do I have to return to India?

Yes, you can stay in the USA after completing your master's for a limited period to work.

- OPT (Optional Practical Training): Most international students can work in the U.S. for up to 12 months after graduation in a job related to their field.
- STEM OPT Extension: If your master's is in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field, you may be eligible for a 24-month extension, for a total of up to 36 months.
- H-1B Visa: After OPT, you can apply for jobs with employers willing to sponsor you for an H-1B work visa. This process is competitive and subject to change.

Visa rules and work authorization policies are subject to change.
