If I do only a one-year course in the UK, will I have the opportunity to stay back and search for a job or do I have to return after the course for a Master's?
Yes, if you complete a one-year master's course in the UK, you can apply for the Graduate Visa (post-study work visa) to stay back and work or search for a job.
- Up to 2 years stay if you apply on or before 31 December 2026
- 18 months stay for applications made on or after 1 January 2027
You can work in most jobs, be self-employed, or look for work without employer sponsorship. You must apply for the Graduate Visa before your current Student visa expires and be in the UK when you apply.
