I got into FLAME University in Pune and missed the Xavier's cutoff. Are these good backup options?

The mentor said FLAME is genuinely good and speaks about it with conviction. She met a friend who studied Business Analytics at FLAME, went on to do a master's in Statistics and Analytics at NTU, and spoke very highly of both the programme and the experience. The mentor said FLAME also has an exchange programme, which means a student could still experience an international university environment during the degree. Both FLAME and Xavier's have semester exchange opportunities.

• Xavier's psychology programme is highly reputed, the mentor knew this before learning the cutoff was 98.5% for other board students.
• She noted that an exchange programme from FLAME or Xavier's, including a student who recently went from Xavier's to Harvard on exchange, offers international exposure without the full cost of studying abroad.
• She mentioned that many friends who studied at UBC in Canada came back to India and are earning around three lakh per annum, a poor return on the overseas investment.
• India's startup ecosystem is growing rapidly right now. If Singapore does not work out, studying at a strong Indian institution with an exchange year abroad is a credible and often underestimated path.
