For a New Zealand student visa, you must show NZD 20,000/year for living expenses (or NZD 1,667/month for courses under a year), plus tuition fees and funds for a return ticket.

For an Ireland student visa, you need to show access to at least €10,000/year for living expenses (or €833/month for shorter courses), along with proof of tuition fee payment.

In both cases, cash is not accepted - funds must be held in a bank account and supported by official bank statements.
