You can work in the USA for up to 12 months after your two-year master's program through Optional Practical Training (OPT). If your degree is in a qualifying STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) field, you may be eligible for a 24-month STEM OPT extension, allowing up to 36 months total work authorization.

Key conditions:
- Job relevance: Work must be directly related to your major.
- Unemployment limit: Up to 90 days during OPT; up to 150 days total with STEM extension.
- Application timing: Apply for OPT up to 90 days before and no later than 60 days after your program ends. STEM extension must be requested before OPT expires.

You must maintain valid F-1 status and follow all reporting rules to keep your work authorization.
