Most students plan around their expected graduation date and assume the visa length that applies then. The Graduate Route does not work that way. Why Your Application Date Matters More Than Your Graduation Date

Apply on or before 31 December 2026 and an eligible bachelor's or master's graduate gets 2 years on the Graduate Route. Apply on or after 1 January 2027 and that period generally drops to 18 months.
