Does the UK offer a 12-month post-study work visa for master's students?
No, the UK does not offer a 12-month post-study work visa for master's students.
Currently, the UK Graduate Visa allows master's graduates to stay and work for 2 years if you apply on or before 31 Dec 2026. For applications on or after 1 Jan 2027, the duration will be 18 months (subject to change).
The Graduate Visa cannot be extended. If you wish to stay longer, you must switch to another visa type, such as the Skilled Worker visa, during your Graduate Visa period.
