It depends. A Post-Graduate (PG) certificate program in Canada does not automatically allow your family to join you on a dependent (family) visa.

- Spouse's open work permit: As of January 2025, your spouse is typically eligible for an open work permit only if you are enrolled full-time in a master's, doctoral, or certain professional degree programs - not a standard PG certificate.
- Dependent children: Children can usually accompany you and attend school, but will need a study permit if staying more than six months.

Eligibility can vary by program and is subject to change.
