No, your student visa is not extended for work purposes after your course ends. Instead, you must apply separately for a post-study work permit called the Graduate Visa.

- Graduate Visa: Lets you stay and work in the UK after graduation. Duration is 2 years if you apply before the end of 2026, or 18 months if you apply from 2027 onwards (subject to change).
- To stay longer after the Graduate Visa, you must switch to another visa type, such as the Skilled Worker Visa, which requires a job offer from a licensed UK employer.
