Yes, undergraduate students in Ireland receive a one-year post-study work visa (Stamp 1G) after completing their degree.
In the UK, undergraduate graduates currently get a two-year Graduate Visa if they apply before 31 December 2026. For applications from 1 January 2027 onward, this will change to 18 months.
So, Ireland offers a one-year stay-back, while the UK offers a longer period - either two years now or 18 months from 2027. These durations are subject to change.
