Can you clarify the spouse visa process for Ireland, including whether the spouse can accompany the student and if they can work there for a Master's/PhD?

No, spouses of most international students in Ireland cannot accompany them during their studies.

- PhD students (Level 10, National Framework of Qualifications) may be eligible to bring immediate family, but only if they show sufficient funds and complete their doctorate within four years.
- For other courses, including master's programs, family reunification is generally not allowed. Spouses must apply for a visa independently, and their application is not linked to your student status.
- Work rights: If granted a dependent visa (mainly for PhD cases), spouses may have limited work rights, but this is rare for non-PhD students.
