Are there any diploma courses that allow eligibility for post-study work visa or stay back options in the UK in Ireland/Scotland for a Master's/PhD?
It depends. Most diploma courses in the UK do not make you eligible for the Graduate Visa (post-study work visa), which is typically available only if you complete a UK bachelor's, master's, or PhD.
However, a few specific professional diplomas and certificates are exceptions:
- Law conversion courses approved by the Solicitors Regulation Authority
- Legal Practice Course (England and Wales), Solicitors Course (Northern Ireland), or Diploma in Professional Legal Practice (Scotland)
- Bar Practice Course (England and Wales) or Bar Course (Northern Ireland)
- Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE)
- Foundation programmes in medicine or dentistry
These are currently recognized for Graduate Visa eligibility, but policies are subject to change.
