Yes, both CPT (Curricular Practical Training) and OPT (Optional Practical Training) are available to international students during and after a master's course in the USA.

- CPT: You can work off-campus in internships or practical training related to your field, typically after completing one academic year. CPT must be part of your curriculum and is approved by your university.
- OPT: You may work for up to 12 months in a job related to your degree, usually after graduation. STEM graduates may qualify for a 24-month extension.

Using 12+ months of full-time CPT makes you ineligible for OPT at the same degree level. For personalized guidance, connect with your LeapScholar counsellor.
