After completing admission abroad, is it possible to leave from my end and still have options to get permanent residence after gaining four to five years of experience in Germany?

Yes, you can pursue permanent residency (PR) in both Germany and Latvia after your studies, but the process and options differ.

- Germany: After graduation, you can apply for an 18-month job-seeking visa. If you find a relevant job, you can switch to a work-based residence permit (like the EU Blue Card). Time spent as a student counts partially toward the five-year PR requirement. After two years of qualified employment, you may be eligible for PR. - Latvia: Latvia does not offer a post-study work visa. To stay and work, you must secure a job offer and apply for an employment-based residence permit with your employer’s support.

Policies and requirements are subject to change.
