After completing a master's in the UK or Netherlands, how long can I stay to search for a job?

You can stay in both the UK and the Netherlands after your master's to search for a job, but the duration and conditions differ:

- UK: Graduate Visa - Stay for 2 years if you apply on or before 31 December 2026; for 18 months if you apply on or after 1 January 2027. This visa is non-extendable and does not lead to permanent residency. Duration is subject to change.
- Netherlands: Orientation Year (Zoekjaar) Permit - Stay for 1 year to look for work or start a business. You can work freely during this time without a separate work permit.

Consider which option best fits your long-term career plans, as policies and durations may change.
