The full form of NPR is National Public Radio.

By the provisions of the Citizenship Act of 1955 and the Citizenship (enrollment of residents and issue of National Identity Card) Rules of 2003, the National Population Register, or NPR, is a list of the regular inhabitants of the country that is being created at the local (town/sub-town), sub-area, locale, state, and national levels. While NPR only includes segment data, more specific information is needed for enumeration, such as data on demographics, financial activity, skill and education, as well as housing and family unit civilities aside from others.

The registration is the basis for assessing the country’s progress over the past ten years, tracking the legislature’s ongoing plans, and making plans.

The analysis provides detailed and accurate information on demographics, financial activity, skill and training, lodging and family unit luxuries, urbanisation, wealth and mortality, scheduled ranks and clans, language, religion, relocation, and other people’s inabilities.

The enumerators also collect data on farmers’ and rural workers’ sex, word-related labourer orders in non-family industries, exchange, commerce, calling, or administration by the category of specialists and their sex.

A detailed analysis of sexual orientation, educational attainment, a few localities, ghetto families, and their population will be provided.

Additionally, information is acquired regarding the availability of consumable water sources, energy sources, water systems, farming techniques, and the construction material of houses, among other things.

The National Population Register has the following characteristics:

• There will be multiple levels of the National Population Register, including the neighbourhood (town/sub-town), sub-region, area, state, and national, by the 2003 Citizenship Rules and the 1955 Citizenship Act.

• The Registrar General, who also serves as India’s ex-officio Census Commissioner, oversees the NPR.
