Career gaps do not automatically harm your study abroad application. What matters most is how you explain and justify that time.

For UK MBA programs, a one-year career gap with six years of work experience is generally acceptable if you can show that the gap was used productively - such as for work, certifications, or personal responsibilities. Clearly address this in your Statement of Purpose (SOP) and provide supporting documents if possible.

Universities value honesty and a clear explanation. A well-presented gap can even strengthen your application if it aligns with your goals.
