Will a zero income ITR filed by my father be a problem for showing finances for Australia or New Zealand student visa?

It depends. A zero-income Income Tax Return (ITR) from your father can raise concerns when proving financial capacity for both Australia and New Zealand student visas.

Visa officers look for clear evidence that you have sufficient funds for tuition and living expenses. A zero-income ITR alone is usually not enough. You’ll need to provide additional financial documents, such as:

- Recent bank statements
- Fixed deposits
- Education loan sanction letters
- Scholarship awards

A zero-income ITR is not an automatic rejection, but you must show strong alternative proof of funds to meet visa requirements.
