Why was I told earlier that I have to give IELTS exam when now I am being told it is not compulsory in UAE?

It depends on the university and program in the UAE. Some universities now accept alternatives to IELTS, like a Medium of Instruction (MOI) letter or may offer conditional admission with extra English support. Admission requirements, including English proficiency, are subject to change and can differ between institutions.
