Why is UK not a preferred option for me, and what are simpler countries that provide good opportunities for a Master's/PhD?

The UK may not be the best fit for you due to upcoming changes and challenges:

- Post-study work visa (Graduate Visa) will be reduced to 18 months for master's graduates from January 2027 (currently 2 years). This 2-year period applies to applications made before 1 January 2027; applications submitted on or after that date receive 18 months, while PhD graduates continue to receive 3 years. This gives you less time to gain work experience or secure a job.
- High tuition fees and living costs can put significant strain on your budget.
- Accommodation is expensive and hard to find, adding to the stress of relocation.
- Part-time work options are limited and competitive, making it tough to support yourself during studies.

Countries like Canada, Germany, New Zealand, and Ireland are often simpler and more favorable for international students. They offer more affordable education, easier visa processes, and longer post-study work visas - Canada, for example, allows up to 3 years. These options can provide you with better value and smoother career prospects after graduation.
