A Fashion Design degree does not lock you into designing forever. The bigger fork is whether you want to stay creative and hands on, or move toward brands, retail and management, and each path has a genuinely different UK master's built around it.

Fashion Management, Sustainability or Design: What Actually Decides This

• Fashion Management or Business: best if you want brand, retail, buying or merchandising roles rather than staying purely creative.
• Sustainable or Circular Fashion: best if ethical sourcing, recycling or responsible production genuinely interest you, a fast growing part of the industry.
• Fashion Design or Creative Practice: best if you want to keep designing, building a portfolio toward a creative director or own label path.

My Advice

Your portfolio will carry more weight than your IELTS score for any design leaning route, so spend as much energy on that as on the language test. Germany becomes worth a serious look if you want to move toward fashion technology, textiles or manufacturing rather than pure fashion business, but check each programme's specific bachelor's subject and ECTS requirements first since IELTS 6.5 alone will not guarantee eligibility there.
