My Advice
The strongest overall combination is Power Systems plus Power Electronics plus Renewable Energy or Smart Grids as electives, it keeps you relevant to both conventional utilities and the energy transition in either country. Do not choose a specialisation purely because you have no backlogs, German universities in particular still check your specific EEE coursework and prerequisites closely before admission.
