My Advice

In my experience, experienced lawyers pick an LLM specialism that sounds prestigious without checking whether it actually connects to what they've spent 6 years doing, and that mismatch shows up clearly in interviews later. Name your practice area explicitly in your personal statement, whether that's contracts, compliance or disputes, and decide early whether your goal is to return to India, stay in the UK, or work internationally, since that changes which specialism actually pays off, and it also affects which UK visa route makes sense afterward.
